I'm very disappointed in some parts of the Twitter community.
Well, ok I have no idea that it IS Twitter people responsible for this. But seeing as we are talking about a Twitter service I think it is a safe assumption.
What am I on about? Well someone has been trying to hack or exploit Tweetbars.com. Which is just annoying.
First up no one worry - these people are dealing with a fucking security professional here :) and so I secured any tiny little holes (really there weren't any) before launch. But still it frustrates me that people are trying!
Here's what I am talking about:
Basically trying a varity of incredibly mundane attacks. More than anything that is insulting my intelligence more than being dangerous.
Just to clarify a couple of points for any more would be attackers. Tweetbars runs a completely custom caching interface - everything is sanitised from both sides (the url side and the Twitter side). There is nothing you can do!
Secondly my web stats tracks IP addresses - and I work in the IT security industry. So I have your IP addresses and the writs will be landing on your desk as soon as I can get it processed through the proper people.
Pwned.
